The Customer wanted to empower individuals to monitor, manage, and reduce their resources consumption effectively. By leveraging smart meters and the solution tailored specifically for service recipients’ needs, the company provides tools to track usage, optimize energy costs, and receive timely alerts.
The Client initially approached Keeneo with a legacy system, which we completely rewrote to create a modern, user-friendly mobile application. The app enables users to manage their energy budgets effortlessly: they can view and pay electricity and gas bills, adjust monthly payments, and provide proof of residence with a single click. Additionally, users can follow power consumption in real time, receive personalized tips to cut down expenses, and get notifications when usage exceeds usual levels.
Building on this success, the customer expanded to another market, requiring a similar yet customized system. To accelerate development for both platforms, we adopted Flutter as a cross-platform framework. This version introduced challenges, such as unstable APIs from third-party services like metering providers, which we addressed by implementing fallback mechanisms for seamless performance.
