A while back, the customer had developed an eLearning application that enabled students from all over the world to pass their exams remotely. The Keeneo team was entrusted with the mission to overhaul the existing solution, fix the detected issues and make the necessary improvements, and then work on the product's subsequent evolutions.
To support the customer's vision for bringing remote exam capabilities to a new level, the Keeneo team successfully implemented two distinct versions of the proctoring application, making it accessible on both PC and mobile devices. This upgrade allows students to take their exams securely from any location and on any device, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for users worldwide.
Our solution focused on creating a seamless user experience: students simply log in to the cloud platform with their microphone and camera turned on, enabling real-time monitoring by their instructors. The application introduces randomized question generation, effectively reducing the risk of answer duplication and ensuring exam integrity.
Additionally, we integrated an advanced security service that performs continuous automated checks to detect and prevent unauthorized digital activities, such as opening other programs or searching for answers online. This proactive approach helps maintain the credibility and fairness of the examination process.
